This episode is considered to be very revealing of the Sam's feelings towards Freddie.
Plot Description[]
Carly can't get a date for the girl's choice dance, so Sam comes up with an idea to help her get one. On a webcast of iCarly, Sam ties Carly up (against her will, because Carly didn't support Sam's idea) and offers to any guy in Seattle to go to the Groovy Smoothie, and see if they are good enough for her. They then discover over 700 boys, and as a result of this, end up speed dating (basically auditioning) with 15 seconds per boy. Because there are so many, Freddie, Sam and Spencer have to join in to help her decide. In the end, Carly finds her date, but it turns out he is annoying. She ends up in the Groovy Smoothie after the dance, alone with Freddie.
Sam, on the other hand, is asked by Carly to ask Gibby to the Dance. She does as she is told, but is rejected by him. On the night of the Dance, she visits Gibby's house, claiming that he is going to take her to the dance, just to find out he is on a date himself, with a girl named Tasha. Sam walks away feeling upset, goes to the Groovy Smoothie, and discovers Freddie slow dancing with Carly. She stops and watches for a moment, then silently leaves, taking one more glance backward as she walks away.
The look on her face suggested that she was upset and jealous that they were slow dancing. Some Seddie fans say she looked as if she was going to cry.

Dan Schneider himself stated that the last 60 seconds of the episode were very revealing and shippers of both sides were going to love it.

While chatting with a fan who had agreed that Sam was "hurt" which led the fan to believe that Sam may have feelings for "the dork," when she saw Freddie and Carly dancing, and creator Dan Schneider replied, "I'm glad YOU get it."
